worth the drive off hwy 5 Positive: great bed, and the restaurant chef is top talent

Loved the stay! Wish the restaurant was still open! Positive: We enjoyed our stay! We loved getting out of town for the night! Negative: The only thing we missed was the restaurant.

Unbeatable accommodations and ambience for the price. Positive: Location was unbeatable. Super quiet, gorgeous views (even on the drive). Take it one turn at a time, it's a really windy road. Location is definitely out of the way, but there's next to no light pollution. I was able to get some really good night sky photography. Negative: I would have liked to have some sort of meal or vending area close by. The closest restaurant at a neighboring lodge closed early, so dinner resulted in driving back into town (about 30 minutes away).

Positive: Good value, beautiful location and cozy room Negative: 10am check out is ridiculous!

Nice place to stay up in the mountains Positive: We stayed in one of the rooms that's more like a motel room, not a cabin, but it was pretty spacious. The bathroom had a shower and whirpool tub. Oddly, there was no door between the shower room and the main room, but there is a separate room for the toilet that has a door. This is a nice place to stay if you want to be up in the mountains, away from town, and plan to hike or go to the lake and fish or swim. Special thanks to the staff who were able to locate the two rings my wife left behind. Initially they didn't find anything but phoned us later saying they had found them and would send them to us. Negative: The parking lot is dirt and it kicked up a lot of dust when people came and went.
